Description

Chicory is a perennial herbaceous plant in the Compositae family. It has a slightly bitter flavour, but is rich in precious nutrients such as mineral salts and vitamins. Thanks to this wealth of nutrients, it can be considered a remineralising food. It has a diuretic action and rather limited calorific value, which is why it is recommended in detox diets.
